We are deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Coach Shane Montgomery. His loss is felt profoundly across the many communities he touched—as a coach, mentor, colleague, and friend. Shane was more than an accomplished INTENSITY™ Master Trainer at CheerConditioning.Academy; he was a guiding force whose passion for sport, particularly tumbling and cheerleading, inspired countless athletes and coaches alike.
Shane’s journey in athletics was marked by dedication and excellence. Having studied sport psychology at UNC Charlotte, he brought both knowledge and heart into every space he entered. Whether working with elite athletes or beginners, he had a unique ability to connect, motivate, and elevate those around him. His coaching style set a standard—one rooted in discipline, positivity, and an unwavering belief in others.
To many, Shane was not just a coach but a lifelong influence. From his early days cheering at UNC Charlotte to working in gyms across multiple states, he built lasting relationships and left a meaningful impact everywhere he went. Those who knew him personally remember his curiosity, his ability to master any subject he pursued, and his generosity in sharing that knowledge.
