Louisville Metro Police are investigating a deadly shooting that occurred Sunday afternoon in the PRP area of Louisville, Kentucky.
According to authorities, officers were dispatched around 3:30 p.m. to the intersection of Terry Road and Paradise Lane following reports of a shooting. When police arrived at the scene, they discovered a man inside a vehicle who had been struck by gunfire.
Emergency responders pronounced the man dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of his family.
The Louisville Metro Police Department’s Homicide Unit has taken over the investigation and is working to determine the circumstances that led to the shooting. At this stage, officials have not identified any suspects, and no arrests have been made.
Investigators are currently gathering evidence from the scene and speaking with potential witnesses in an effort to piece together what happened. Police have not released any information regarding a possible motive.
